Ben Jones is a singer, actor, conductor, multi-instrument musician, arranger, passionate educator of young musicians, avid bicyclist and jogger, and warm host of occasional dinner parties for fellow hungry musicians in his home in San Francisco. Jones has appeared as a soloist in concert with the Shola Cantorum at both Notre Dame des Victoires and St. Dominic's Catholic Church in San Francisco, with the San Francisco Concert Chorale, as a section leader and conductor with the University of Illinois Varsity Men's Glee Club and the acclaimed comedy octet: The Other Guys, with acclaimed soloists Alex DiFulvio and Nathan Gunn, and in workshop with Andrew Gant, director of the choir at the Chapel Royal of St. James' Palace, and Nico Castel, head coach for the Metropolitan Opera in New York. His versatile voice can be heard on numerous albums, including a recent release on Albany Records. Favorite roles include Gaylord Ravenal (Showboat), Tobias (Sweeney Todd), Charlie (Mahagonny Songspiel), Bill Snibson (Me and My Girl), and Stephen (Metropolis). Of his latest turn on stage at Broadway by the Bay in San Mateo, the Marin Independent Journal observed, "Jones has the voice and the charisma to play any stage, any time, anywhere."

Jones received his classical training in voice at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Cesar Ulloa, on the French Horn at Bradley University with Dr. David Vroman and Illinois State University with Joseph Neisler and on the Cello with Janis Wilkinson and Ko Iwasaki. He continues to train presently in conducting with Michael Morgan. Thanks to a generous arts grant through the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, he currently conducts and coaches the orchestra at Presidio Middle School in San Francisco. In addition, Jones conducts the San Jose Youth Symphony's Concert Orchestra, a full orchestra for young musicians in the South Bay.
